Peter Pieters

Peter Pieters is a retired Dutch cyclist who was active between 1980 and 1998. On track, he competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in the individual 4160km putsuit and points race, and won a bronze medal in the points race at the 1991 world championships. On the road, he won the Delta Profronde , ParisTours , Profronde van Almelo and Ronde van de Haarlemmermeer , as well as individual stages of the Olympias Tour , Vuelta a Burgos , Driedaagse van WestVlaanderen , Vuelta a Murcia , Tour of Belgium and Tour of Sweden . After retiring from competitions he worked as cycling coach, in particular with the Belgian national team.
